Makes about 2 quarts of lemonade
Ingredients
1 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup Classic Tonic
3/4 cup simple syrup (see note)
1/4 cup strong hibiscus tea (see note)
1.5 quarts water
Method
Make the hibiscus tea and simple syrup first and set aside to cool. Add remaining ingredients together and stir well. When the simple syrup and tea have cooled to room temperature add them to the other mixture and stir well. Best served chilled or on ice.
Note: To make simple syrup add equal amounts of sugar and warm/boiling water and let the sugar dissolve. To make hibiscus tea simply steep a heaping scoop of dried hibiscus flowers in hot water and strain when the tea reaches a very deep color. Let both of these cool before adding to the lemonade recipe.
