Classic Smoothie
If you’re not sure how the tangy flavor of kraut will work in a smoothie, start with this simple recipe and your taste buds will surely warm up to the idea. The kraut flavor is barely noticed - perfect for sharing with kids and those with less adventurous palates.
Makes 2-3 servings
Ingredients
1 medium banana
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries or raspberries
1 apple, nectarine or pear, quartered and cored
1/4 cup Classic Kraut
1 cup almond milk or milk of your choice
Method
Put all the ingredients in a blender and whirl until smooth. Drink right away.
